ENDLESS POSSIBILITIES – PART 2 – CALL OF THE HEART –
SILKE MING
SILKE MING BIO
I have has always loved writing. I started out
with short stories and then took the bold move onto novels. Not a single day
goes by that I don’t do some form of writing. I am an avid reader, and when
time allows, I try to read at least two books per month, thanks to the convenience of the E Reader, which makes it
easy to shop the bookstores from the comfort of one’s home.
I am new to romance writing and it has been
quite a challenge, but I am enjoying it tremendously.
Endless Possibilities – Call of the Heart - is
my twelfth novel published by Siren Book Strand. Part 1 –Endless Possibilities
was released on August 4th.
I’ve spent much of my time in airports around
the world, and used that time to read. Sometimes there were two or three heavy
novels tucked away in my carry-on, just in case one of the books didn’t hold my
interest. Back then there wasn’t such a thing as an E Reader. (lol) In addition to my love of books, is my love of
travel, cooking and gardening. Favorite food? Authentic Thai cooking.
I was born in the Caribbean, lived in Northern
Italy, Mumbai, India and spent thirteen years in Germany. I now make Ontario,
Canada, my home. If I could live anywhere else in the world, I would choose New
Zealand or Bali, because of the natural beauty and culture of both countries.

EXCERPT – ENDLESS
POSSIBILITIES – PART 2 –
CALL OF THE HEART
Skye Lark opened her eyes to
the sun streaming through the opening in the bedroom curtains. She turned and
stared at Rory, who was sprawled naked across the bed and still asleep. She
quietly crawled out of bed and looked back at him. He was snoring lightly and
she smiled as she watched his manly chest lifting and falling as he inhaled and
exhaled. Barefoot and still in her pajamas, she opened the bedroom door and
headed for the stairs. She was thirsty and walked in the direction of the
kitchen to get a glass of water, but found that Charlie had bought a
huge bottle of orange juice. He remembered how much she liked a glass of orange
juice first thing in the morning, and she loved him for it.
Charlie was sitting in his office when she walked by,
but she didn’t see him. He had just dialed his father’s number
and ended the call when he saw her. Her long blonde hair was down and flowed
down to her waist, giving her the appearance of a nymph suddenly appearing from
the mist. The little top she was wearing seemed to increase her ample breast
size, and her long, bare legs brought back memories that made his cock stir.
It was eerily quiet in the house, and so she poured herself a glass of
orange juice, thinking she was the only one awake. She hadn’t seen Charlie
since the previous evening when she decided she would go to bed, after such a
long and harrowing day. Standing in front of the balcony door, she looked out
onto the beautiful scenery. She opened it and stepped out into the balmy
morning. The air was fresh and clean and she breathed deeply, filling her lungs
with the unpolluted air. Below on the lawn, she noticed a mother deer and fawn
nibbling on the grass, and she continued to watch them as she slowly sipped her
juice. Catching sight of the glaciers in the distance, she gazed at the
undisturbed, natural beauty with the rising sun kissing them softly on their
snow-capped peaks.
Charlie stood in the doorway and stared at her, his
eyes swallowing up the curvature of her body.
“Good morning,” he said, stepping onto the veranda.
She jumped when she heard his voice.
“You’re up early. What are you looking at?”
“The deer,” she replied, turning around and noticing
his robe hanging open, with his goods on view for her to see. Her heart started
to race and she felt his warm breath on her neck as he drew closer.
“You couldn’t sleep?” he asked in a soft tone.
“I was thirsty,” she said, pretending her sole
interest was the mother deer and fawn, but her mind was on what his closeness
was doing to her.
“She hangs around here every morning,” he said,
imprisoning her and staring over her shoulders at the two animals grazing
below.
“They’re very beautiful,” she whispered.
“They’re wild,” he replied, drawing closer and licking
her ear lobe—“but not half as wild as you.”
